The semantic architecture track is bringing together the capabilities of architectural modeling with semantic technologies. Our vision is that architecture at all levels, from business models to implementation, can be better integrated and more mutually supportive while being more targeted to stakeholder needs. User models and “domain specific languages” can be unified using semantic technologies. This will allow an integrated view of multi-enterprise collaborations, enterprise architecture, business needs, systems, applications and domains.
The initial effort of the semantic architecture track is the “Semantic Information Modeling for Federation RFP” (SIMF). SIMF will directly target the “data problem” with standards for federating information based on independently conceived models and schema.
