DDS Foundation Charter

The DDS Foundation promotes the adoption, interoperability, and success of DDS standards to a wider user community

Creates and expands an ecosystem of DDS users
Promotes and helps evaluate DDS standards
Defines industry-specific data models
Supports industry-specific adaptations and implementations of DDS
Ensures positioning, awareness, and interoperability between DDS vendors and products
Builds a library of use cases, data models, application software, and system architectures

Executive oversight by OMG DDS SIG
Managed by the OMG
Governed by a Leadership Council
Leadership Council seats defined by the DDS SIG
Leadership Council

- Membership in OMG is optional
- Serves two year terms

Vice President, Marketing: Lynne Canavan, Director of Content Marketing, RTI
Director of Compliance: Adam Mitz, Principal Software Engineer, OCI

Meetings follow Roberts Rules of Order
Minutes of meetings are approved at next meeting and posted in archives
VPs / Executive co-chairs oversee and govern all committees
Participation in DDS Foundation is free
- OMG membership not required for individual membership
- OMG membership required for organizational membership
Only organizational member companies vote
- One vote, one company rule
Committees meet
- Virtually (e.g., WebEx, Zoom, etc. ) as needed
- Face-to-face at OMG quarterly technical meetings
