The SWAN on the US Navy LPD-17 runs machinery, damage control, steering, magnetic signature, mission control, navigation, communications, and many other components. RTI Connext DDS runs the backbone of this system; it coordinates, synchronizes and manages a large number of disparate systems and supports redundant networks, data and sensors without servers.
