**Block Rewards** are rewards given to a miner which has successfully hashed a [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:t:transaction_block|transaction block]]. Block rewards can be a mixture of [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:c:coins|coins]] and [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:t:transaction_fees|transaction fees]], depending on the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:p:policy|policy]] used by the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:c:cryptocurrency|cryptocurrency]] in question, and whether all of the coins have already been successfully mined. The current block reward for the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:b:bitcoin|Bitcoin]] network is 25 bitcoins for each block.
