**Console**, also known as a **Computer Console**, a **System Console** or as a **Terminal**, is generally considered to be a combination of a display monitor and an input device (i.e., a keyboard and/or a mouse), allowing a person to type in commands and receive visual output from a computer or computer system.

A console is also known as a computer console, a system console or simply as a terminal.
