**EVM Code** is the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:p:programlang|programming language]] in which accounts on the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:e:ethereum|Ethereum]] [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:b:blockchain|blockchain]] can contain code. The EVM code associated with an account is executed every time a message is sent to that account, and has the ability to read/write storage and itself send messages.
