**Permissionless Networks** require no permission to use it. In other words, there is no barrier to entry to use it. Anyone can run a [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:n:node|node]], run [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:m:mining|mining]] software/hardware, access a [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:b:bitcoin_wallet|wallet]] and write data onto and transact within the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:b:blockchain|blockchain]] (as long as they follow the rules of the blockchain).
