A DIDO is focused on two elements of security:

**Internet Security**: intended to protect the data flowing through the network. A major part of the functionality of a DIDO is its distributed nature over the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:i:internet|internet]] and trust that it processes valid and accurate transactions.
