**Peer-to-Peer (P2P)** is a network where the "[[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:p:peer | Peers]]" are computer systems which are connected to each other via the [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:i:internet|Internet]]. Files can be shared directly between systems on the network without the need of a central [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:s:server|server]]. In other words, each computer on a P2P network becomes a file server as well as a [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:c:client|client]].
