**Value Chain** is a set of activities that a firm operating in a specific industry performs in order to deliver a valuable product (i.e., good and/or service) for the market. Although it is similar to a [[dido:public:ra:xapend:xapend.a_glossary:s:supplychain]], it is usually a subset of it that covers just the portion of the Supply Chain that is under the control of a single corporation or entity.
