2.3.3.2 Lightweight Node (Wallet)
Lightweight Nodes keep a shallow copy of blockchain transactions1) and are used in day-to day-crypto operations. Within the cryptocurrency world, Lightweight Nodes are also referred to as Simple Payment Verification (SPV) Nodes or Wallet Nodes. Lightweight Nodes communicate with the Ledger through Full Nodes.2)
