Desktop computers are designed to meet regular general purpose computational needs at a single location such as on or near a desk or table. Desktop computers can be moved but often they are cumbersome due to power requirements and use of peripherals such as monitors, external disks, and mice. A stereotypical configuration general has a case housing the power supply, Motherboard; a keyboard and mouse for input; and a computer monitor, speakers, and, often, a printer for output. The case may be oriented horizontally or vertically and placed either underneath, beside, or on top of a desk. Often, Desktops use Wired Network Ethernet connection.
