====== Robotics Domain Task Force ====== ===== Mission ===== The purpose of the Robotics Domain Task Force is to foster the integration of robotics systems from modular components through the adoption of OMG standards. To realize this purpose, we will: * Recommend adoption and extend OMG technologies that apply to the specific domain of robotics systems where no current baseline specifications exist, such as MDA for Robotics. The object technology is not solely limited to software but is extended to real objects. This effort promotes the use of OMG technologies in various markets. * Promote mutual understanding between the robotics community and the OMG community. * Endeavor to collaborate with other organizations for standardization, such as the one for home information appliances, and make an open effort to increase interoperability in the field of robotics. * Coordinate with the appropriate OMG subgroups and the Architecture Board, for technology areas that overlap with other OMG Task Forces, to determine where the work will be accomplished. ===== Agenda for next meeting ===== ==== Burlingame: (December. 4-8, 2017) ==== {{robotics-17-09-08.pdf|Agenda Version 0.1}} * Review of Hardware Abstraction Layer for Robotic Technology(HAL4RT) 1.0 FTF Report * Review of Hardware Abstraction Layer for Robotic Technology(HAL4RT) 2.0 RFC * Review of Robotic Interaction Service (RoIS) 1.2 RTF Report * Review of Robotic Interaction Service (RoIS) 2.0 RFC * Review of Robotic Service Ontology(RoSO) RFI responses * ISO/TC299/WG6(Robots and Robotic Devices) Contact Report * Guest and Member presentation ==== Reston: (March. 19-23, 2018) ==== * ISO/TC299/WG6(Robots and Robotic Devices) Contact Report * Guest and Member presentation ===== Activities at previous meetings ===== ==== New Orleans: (September. 25-29, 2017) ==== {{robotics-17-09-01.pdf|Agenda Version 1.0}} * Review of [[http://www.omg.org/spec/HAL4RT/1.0/Beta1/|Hardware Abstraction Layer for Robotic Technology(HAL4RT) 1.0 Beta 1 Specification]] * Review of Hardware Abstraction Layer for Robotic Technology(HAL4RT) 2.0 RFC * Review and Issue of [[http://www.omg.org/cgi-bin/doc?robotics/17-09-04|Robotic Service Ontology(RoSO) RFI]] * ISO/TC299/WG6(Robots and Robotic Devices) Contact Report ==== Brussels: (June. 5-9, 2017) ==== {{robotics-17-06-01.pdf|Agenda Version 1.0 }} * Review of Hardware Abstraction Layer for Robotic Technology(HAL4RT) 1.0 Beta 1 Specification * Joint meeting with Ontology PSIG on Robotic Service Ontology(RoSO) * Review of Robotic Service Ontology(RoSO) RFI * ISO/TC299/WG6(Robots and Robotic Devices) Contact Report * Guest and Member presentation * Ontological Standard Framework, Support for Robotic Services and Human Robot Interaction(Dr. Abdelghani Chibani, Associate Professor, LISSI Laboratory, Paris Est University -
