Scope

Historically various specifications have defined XML syntax to represent particular subsets of Data Distribution Service (DDS)-related resources:
- The DDS-XTYPES specification defines XML syntax to represent DDS Data Types and Data Samples.
- The DDS-WEB specification defines XML syntax to represent DDS Applications, DDS Domains, and DDS entities (i.e., Domain Participant, Topic, Publisher, Subscriber, DataWriter, and DataReader). This specification consolidates all this XML syntax into a single document. There are no significant syntactic changes in this document relative to referenced specifications.
