| | There are Finalization Task Forces(FTF) chartered by the OMG Domain Tech Committee (DTC) to receive issues submitted against Video Analytics and Unified POS 1.15.
| | The Architecture Board approved the RFC for WS-POS v1.3.1 on Thursday, and the DTC voted and approved to create the FTF for WS-POS 1.3.1(chartered at Fridays' plenary).

| | Wednesday afternoon the OMG board met and accepted the UnifiedPOS v1.15 and Video Analytics specifications, and are now formal OMG standards!

Roland presented the work that has been accomplished on the Fiscal API service RFP, attendees provided feedback and comments. This info is available on the documents in OneDrive
An acronym/abbreviation is used in the URL and reference of the specifications. We had an engaging discussion to make these consistent for standards the RDTF submits. The results were that UnifiedPOS will use hyphenated acronym's for new standards developed and the XML standards will have standalone acronyms developed on a case by case basis.
| | As an example, the unified POS fiscal API will be UPOS-FA, a belt api will possibly be UPOS-Belt, Electronic Value will be UPOS-EVRW.
| | For Video Analytics the current AXVA acronym will change to the originally proposed one of VideoAnalytics and the standard will be re-titled to remove ARTS XML from the beginning.

On Thursday we had scheduled road-map discussions and updates on the collaborative writing papers. Due to travel schedules Dennis Gerson started us off with his work on Blockchain in Retail. His excellent presentation extended in to several discussions and Q&A regarding aspects and uses of blockchain. One significant highlight was that if retailer/company processes are not well defined and structured, it will be difficult to implement blockchain and maintain it. The presentation is available on OneDrive(high quality) and in the document links below(lower quality for e-mail).
On Thursday we had scheduled road-map discussions and updates on the collaborative writing papers. | | We believe this will have a significant impact on the standards the RDTF develops and will make them even more compelling to retailers and vendors alike.
| | The content Dennis presented still needs to be further refined down to a 2-page brief for easy solicitation.
| | We ran out of time to get an update from Richard on the Retail Go! paper, but he has already completed the editing and is publishing it on his Blog. We will work with him to co-publish on the OMG site and evangelize it on our LinkedIn and other venues.

As Dennis took up the majority of thursday ssession, the remaining collaborative writing topics will be reviewed on July 11th RDTF call. The following lists the topic papers:
As Dennis took up the majority of Thursday session, the remaining collaborative writing topics will be reviewed on July 11th RDTF call.
