The OMG Academic Working Group (AWG) was formed on 27 September 2018.
The Academic Working Group looks at improving communications and generating opportunities for collaboration between OMG, industry and academic institutions. This could take the form of:
The initial co-Chairs of the AWG are, subject to consensus:
Co-chair roles and responsibilities are less formal in an OMG Working Group than they are in a Special Interest Group or Task Force. There are no formal policies and procedures about the organization of a WG. Membership in the AWG is open, free, and not restricted to holders of an OMG membership. However, co-chairs must be from an OMG member company.
Diane Ehramjian (OMG Business Development) and Claude Baudoin (cébé IT & Knowledge Management) are assisting the co-chair in meeting planning, outreach, and maintenance of this wiki.
The AWG plans to operate through a mix of teleconferences and face-to-face meetings held during OMG Technical Meetings. Our first meeting is planned for Sunday, 9 December 2018, 5:00-7:00 pm Pacific time, in Renton, WA (Seattle).
All members of the AWG can be reached at the address academic-wg@omg.org. To ask to be added to this list, click here.
